A prayer timetable only makes sense with its location and date. Especially when travelling or visiting another city, start by checking whether the screen still shows your previous location.
Choose your country, city and district in order.
On Secda’s prayer times page, first choose your country, then your city or region, and finally your district or locality. This helps distinguish places with similar names.
Changing the country resets the city and district selections. Changing the city also requires a new district selection. This prevents a timetable from mixing old and new selections. A single available district may be selected automatically.
Times are local to your selected location.
When viewing a city in another country, the table shows that location’s local time. For example, London’s times are not converted to your device’s time zone.
Check the selected day too. Tapping another calendar date updates the daily cards above. “Today” returns to the selected location’s current day when the source provides it.
Move from daily cards to the calendar.
The daily view shows Fajr, sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha together. The timetable below covers the date range provided by the data source.
The calendar displays seven days at a time. Use the arrows to move between weeks, or tap a date to see that day’s times above. On a phone, scroll the table sideways to see every column.
Check these when you notice a difference.
Before comparing tables, check that the location and date match. Secda displays Diyanet times through the Ezan Vakti API. Different sources or calculation methods may give different results.
- Are the country, city and district correct?
- Are you comparing the same date?
- Are you reading the times in the selected location’s local time?
- Does the other source use the same calculation method?
Try again if times don’t load.
The source may be temporarily unavailable. Check your connection, then use “Try again”. The page does not invent estimated times for days it cannot load.
For reminders throughout the day, adjust notification preferences in the Secda app. Use the web table to look up times, and the app to keep them with you throughout your day.
